Peserta Bukit Barisan Run Tembus 3000 Orang, PJ Walikota Muflihun: Saya Sangat Kagum

Pekanbaru, Literasiaktual.com – Penjabat (PJ) Walikota Pekanbaru Muflihun terkejut dan kagum dengan jumlah peserta yang mengikuti Bukit Barisan Run. Tercatat 3.000 orang mengikuti lomba lari ini.

Di lokasi finish Bukit Barisan Run, Stadion Kaharuddin Nasution Rumbai, Pj Walikota Muflihun mengatakan bahwa hari jadi Pekanbaru ke-239 bertepatan dengan hari jadi Kodam I Bukit Barisan yang ke-73. Ulang tahun Kodam dirayakan pada tanggal 20 Juni dan Pekanbaru pada tanggal 23 Juni.

“Saya kaget sekaligus kagum karena peserta lomba lari 5 Km (Kilometer) dan 10 Km sangat ramai. Ada juga peserta dari kabupaten dan kota di Riau,” ujar Indra Pomi, Minggu (18/6).

Sejatinya, ajang ini merupakan persiapan untuk para atlet PON. Bagi masyarakat umum yang berhasil meraih juara, akan semakin terpacu. “Kami berharap kebersamaan ini dapat menambah kekuatan untuk menciptakan kondisi yang aman, damai, tertib dan bermartabat. Mari kita meriahkan hari jadi Kota Pekanbaru,” kata Muflihun.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Danrem 031 Brigjen TNI Dany Rakca Andalasawan mengatakan telah memerintahkan para Dandim untuk mengikuti lomba lari tersebut. Para pelari juga berasal dari TNI dan Polri. “Kegiatan ini sangat istimewa. Saya juga ikut berlari bersama mereka,” katanya.

Bukit Barisan Run ini untuk mengukur kesiapan atlet menuju PON. Ada sekitar 3.000 peserta yang mengikuti acara ini. “Ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan olahraga,” kata Dany Rakca.
