PEKANBARU – DPRD Provinsi Riau melakukan rapat dengan Badan Keahlian DPR RI dalam rangka pembahasan terkait pengumpulan data untuk NA dan RUU “Pembentukan Daerah Otonomi Baru” (DOB) Kabupaten Gunung Sailan Darussalam (Gusdar), Kabupaten Indragiri Selatan, Kabupaten Indragiri Utara, di Ruang Rapat Medium DPRD Provinsi Riau, Senin (27/2/2023).
Rapat ini dipimpin oleh Wakil Ketua DPRD Provinsi Riau Syafaruddin Poti, didampingi Anggota DPRD Provinsi Riau Dapil Indragiri Hilir Andi Darma Taufik dan Dani M Nursalam. 
Hadir dalam rapat ini, Perancang Peraturan Perundang-Undangan Madya Bidang Politik, Hukum dan HAM Badan Keahlian (BK) DPR RI Mardisontori beserta tim, Ketua Tim DOB Gunung Sailan Abridar beserta jajaran, Ketua Tim DOB Indragiri Selatan Kaharuddin beserta jajaran, dan Ketua Tim DOB Indragiri Utara Said Maskur beserta jajaran,
Perancang Peraturan Perundang-Undangan Madya Bidang Politik, Hukum dan HAM BK DPR RI Mardisontori menyampaikan, rencana pemekaran ini dapat menjadi peningkatan pelayanan terhadap masyarakat.
“Pemekaran ini diharapkan akan meningkatkan pelayanan umum untuk masyarakat dan memperpendek rentang pemerintah dengan masyarakatnya,” jelasnya.
Anggota DPRD Provinsi Riau Dapil Indragiri Hilir Dani M Nursalam menyambut baik rencana pemekaran yang sudah 24 tahun ditunggu oleh masyarakat di Kabupaten Indragiri.
“Ini sebuah kebutuhan, bukan keinginan. Mesti bisa direalisasikan dengan segera,” tegasnya.
Terdapat beberapa saran dan masukan dalam pembahasan dalam pembentukan Daerah Otonomi Baru (DOB) ini. Diharapkan dengan adanya pertemuan ini, apa yang telah direncanakan dapat berjalan dengan lancar.
