Ini menjadi gelar juara dunia bulu tangkis kedua bagi Tontowi/Liliyana.
Penempatan bola yang mereka lakukan beberapa kali sukses mengelabui Tontowi/Liliyana.
Owi/Butet bangkit pada gim kedua berkat sejumlah kesalahan yang dilakukan Zheng/Chen.
Gim kedua akhirnya dimenangi oleh Tontowi/Liliyana dan pertandingan harus ditentukan melalui rubber game.
